The Catacombs of Paris

A descent into the Catacombs of Paris, down the spiral staircase and into the long underground galleries. Street names carved into the stone, age-old inscriptions, bones stacked in neat, orderly rows: the ossuary reveals itself metre after metre, all the way to the exit and its famous “Comptoir des Catacombes” sign.
